Stacey David, what's up with his?
 

Totally ruined someone's thread by mentioning Stacey Davids annoying laugh. Then someone mentioned his throwing of things and yet anther mentioned his haircut and very tight fitting jeans :lol::lol: (that one still cracks me up) my question is what's up with that?

I can't stand all the gigglin'!! I've watched all the shows he has been on but he does grate my nerves! I know what you mean about him tossing stuff, I don't like that much either. One thing no one mentions is his low buck "Gears" logo. Looks like his nephew drew it. I do like some of the stuff he turns out (CopperHead) but I wish he'd turn it down a notch. I have a problem with all the automotive shows for one reason or another, maybe I'm just picky.

I kind of dislike the cheesy theme...not the theme it's self but the airbrushing it all over the vehicle. It's like...WTF did you just do to perfectly good car/truck.:lol:

My wife can't STAND watching even a second of the show because of his hair, laugh, and jeans. I like the show overall and I like a lot of his ideas...but his "budget" ideas are "budget" for people with a LOT of disposable income....

I have heard from people that know of him/have met him that he is a nice person and a genuine guy.

I've heard he's about as nice a guy as you'll ever meet. Certainly very talented. He has a distinctive style of hosting which may or may not draw you in. I don't think tv producers feel shows will sell if a regular guy gets up there and acts like a regular guy. These days it's all about waving the hands,moving around,being animated,and talking up and down...like asking a question then answering. I never noticed his jeans. His hair bothers me less than if it was shaved.

Yeah I think he makes everyone's wife or girlfriend crazy and maybe guys watch just because they know the wifey will go elsewhere. I've been watching his shows for years and even though he is more infomercial then information I still like some of his projects and still watch now and then. I want to see that cornbinder ceo done up. And whats up with the dog?

I dont care for his looks but he definetly has skills I have watched many of his shows and I dont have a bad thing to say about them. It is entertainment people take it for what it is.

I got so tired of seeing Sgt.Rock sitting there in pieces, while he played with a Miata I quit watching. He started Sgt. Rock while he was still on Trucks, Finish the thing already!

Other than that, he seems alright to me.

To be fair, I'm not bashing the guy. These are just observations. My wife brought most of them to my attenion. Is he talented? yes. Does he build cool stuff? yes. Would I love his job?..Hell Yes. I figure if you are gonna put yourself out there in front of all of the United States...you might catch some criticisimn. BTW... I kinda dig the dog, wish my dogs would hang around the garage when I am working on the truck. They would be the only one I could talk to/yell at.:lol:

The chuckling is just his style. No matter how it rubs you he does appear to really enjoy himself,so although it's a bit "canned" I believe he's actually that happy. Maybe he's really nervous. Beats the tar outta Paul Jr and Sr barking at each other with their goofy facial hair :lol: (Jr shaved his jaw stencil)

I think he's pretty cool, he seems like he'd be a nice guy in person. Boyd Cottington was at Good Guy's in KC before he died and he was an Ass.

Women hate Stacy David but they are glued to the tv when that idiot Ty Pennington is on Extreme Makeover they are glued to the tv... Did I mention I hate Ty Pennington? I hope his wife isn't a member :)
