What exactly is different between HD and LD brakes?

What exactly is the difference between the brakes besides rotor and hub thickness? I have the HD brakes and western chassis drop spindles currently. But I'm looking at getting some 20's because the 22's rub when braking and turning. I also have a set of western chassis drop spindles for the LD brakes. Do the HD spindles push out the track width?

Spindles, calipers, rotors, and I believe the outer bearings are all different between the HD and LD brakes. I dunno on the track width.

The track width will be the same. Maybe you should buy some of the CPP modular spindles. They bring the track width in. Either way, those wheels look great on there.
