Charcoal Gray/Silver Interior Pics

Howdy! I have a 1961 C20 and it currently has a charcoal gray/silver interior. I wasn't sure if this was original to the vehicle or not, but from what I have read it seems that the earlier years (60-63) came with that color combo in the interior?

Im inching closer to painting the interior and would like to see your charcoal gray/silver interiors! Especially from 60-63 years. I could not find a thread like this out there, so if it exists please direct me!

Here is mine below! I believe that the dash and cab are correct, the doors used to be silver but someone painted them white, and the steering wheel is fawn. Its a bit of a frankenstein truck. If you notice on the left it has a reassigned VIN from AZ. The trucks history is unknown to me beyond the last ten years.

60-61 did have some with a grey interior, I think 62 and up were all fawn

Thanks, good to know.

I was initially thinking of going with fawn, but I'm not sure how it would look against an orange exterior. I am leaning with sticking with the gray/silver, and doing some kind of interesting color with the seat.

Not exactly factory, but I did it myself with "Smoke Grey". Hope it helps.

Thanks guys, anything helps. I am aiming to paint my interior myself as well, so it more than likely will not be the original color either.

SkinnyG - Its interesting to see your interior because it seems your doors are white as well... I figured that someone repainted mine white at one time or another but maybe thats the way they came? I thought they would have matched the silver. Interesting.

The doors are for sure silver/gray, not white. It may not be clear in the picture. Perhaps it's aged and lightened?

My doors are silver metallic that matches the dash. No white in the cab anywhere. 61 c-20

Theres NO white anywhere on a 60-61 interior. Silver doors. Your door panels are incorrect . Heres a 1961 original "custom" interior 100% original paint .

And a non custom all Silver door.

Re: Charcoal Gray/Silver Interior Pics

Seemed white at first glance, my eyes must deceive me.

Great pics, I appreciate the help. Ill have to see if there is any silver under that white door paint. My dash must have been repainted because it has a hard corner where the dark gray meets the silver on the pillar instead of a rounded corner, and the silver on the glove box is painted over. I believe the silver is original to the cab though.

Off topic but does anyone know what the trim packages were like for the C20's? I found some holes on the side of my hood where an emblem of some kind would go that were filled with bondo. Could be a different hood, but I havent checked the rest of the truck for old trim holes.

Here is mine from a base model 1961. I’m working on stripping off the primer to OG paint on the areas that need it
