Oil Pan
I'm looking to put a big-block in my 72 Chev 3/4 ton 4x4, and was wondering which oil pan will work. It has the 73-87 big-block pan, and I'm wondering if it will work. Any thoughts?

I believe that shouldn't be a problem as long as the pan is from a 4x4 truck. If not, pans are cheap. The rest of the engine shouldn't have any problems.
By the way, where is Tieton, Wa? |
The pan on it is for a mid 70's on 4x4, so hopefully it will work. Tieon, Wa. is about 10 miles west of Yakima, which is about 150 miles or so east of Seattle. It's a huge town of about 1,000 people, so you won't find it on most maps.

I know that place very well. I have been going camping there since I was eight months old. DO you live there? I stay about five miles from Rimrock lake and sleep right next to the Tieton river. If you live there and need something form the west side let me know. I live in Gig Harbor, but will be there the 24th of July. :D :D :D :D :D

from what ive heard from big block into 4x4 swaps is you either need to do a body lift or "massage" the firewall for distributor clearance
|
not true shag, my truck has no body lift or firewall beating, it looks like all was done is move the engine crossmember up a few inches.
