WTH?! Side pipes/Visor on 87 K20
1 Attachment(s)
Spotted this truck on base today. Two things I found notable:
1- What I thought were running boards are actually 5 inch exhaust pipes straight from the headers. It's got a 454 and sounds pretty nasty. I didn't know they made such a thing. 2- The visor over the cab. Unlike the Lund brands I remember, this one has the running lights molded in. Much cleaner IMO. I want one! Anybody have any info on either of these? |

Might try Street Scene on that visor. That rig is like a rolling showcase for the trends of the seventies, eighties, and into the nineties.

I think Lund did make that style visor, but it has been quite a while since I have seen any marketed. Looks like it is called the Lund moon visor.
As for the pipes, how do you get in or out without burning yourself? |

I remember back in the late 70s early 80s youd see that a lot....

Lund made a sunvisor(without lights) and a moonvisor(with lights).
Side pipes are really popular with the older corvettes. They are probably made for a corvette and they stuck them on the truck. |

I see them on eBay but the condition and prices are all over the place. Then oddly, I got an eBay notice the next day and one of the links was to Summit Racing. Well surprise! They actually carry them for the squares and at a decent price. I got one on the way. Now I just need to figure out how to get away with the gun rack in the rear window. Lol |
