New cruiser! '66 Impala SS convertible
3 Attachment(s)
This post is *long* overdue, but I decided for once to buy something that isn't a full on restoration. Picked up this numbers matching '66 Impala SS convertible out of Dallas late last spring. It's a 327 powerglide car, all original excepting the door panels. And aside from adding a few gauges and some sportier wheels, all I've done is put miles on it!
Have been eyeing crate motors, and I do have almost all the parts to swap in a 4 speed, though  |

Re: New cruiser! '66 Impala SS convertible
Thank you, fellas! It cleans up really well, I have been very happy.
As far as motors go ... At least for now, I want to keep this one small block, one of the things that led to my buying one of these is I really wanted a 327 powered car. I'm hoping to get a stick into the car sometime this year, an NP833 OD box, and I'm looking at a full roller 327 build sometime in the (hopefully) not too distant future. ;) |

JJ
A long time ago I did a 327 vette 4 bolt main. Worked great. I do understand staying with the small block, consider stroking it? Fun car, my friend in High School had a 64 Impala SS 327 convert. A chick magnate Keep on keepin on Nut Case |

Good call on the red lines! I'm planning on running them on my 67 Firebird.
