1960 Impala dash in my 65???
 

I've read about the idea of doing this, but have not found any pix of it being done. Does anyone have any pix of it being done or any advice? I found a dash that is local with everything in it including the column. I have to go look at it. Here is a pic of what one looks like. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm a full time body man, but when it comes to customizing I'm a little slow.

I put one in my 86. What I did was split it down the middle then I had to cut a few inches off each end cap to line up the steering column with the speedo since I used the stock truck column. I then caped off the ends tacked each side in then filled in the middle. This is my first project truck with no experience so I'm no fabricator but I didn't think it was that difficult. Just make sure that you measure twice cut and weld once.

Alan, your truck and build is still my favorite one I’ve read and kept up with on this site!
