Re: Where's the FIRE!!!

Nice truck but I would want to see a few photos before the rest as I have a few questions:

1: why a rest with such low miles?
2: why an offset air cleaner for power brake booster, with no power brake booster present?
3: why the wrap on the steering wheel? Is is hiding something or just for comfort?

Again, looks lime a nice truck, just needs closer inspection. It seems kinda rare/ odd to me to be an automatic truck instead of 4 speed manual usually seen in fire trucks. I would ask about seeing the spid label as well.

I'll bet it's as nice as it looks. From the slope on the rear,it appears to have been a fire truck.Probably one of the best kept "Original" Vehicles you will see. Most likely garaged and probably waxed regularly all it's life. The wheel wrap was probably done to make the grip area more comfortable.Ole what's'er name says I have to live in it if I bring another one home.Anyone got a cap that will fit????

Dump the Fire stuff off of the back (had to say it since I'm a cop) and build a dually bed for it. That is a great looking truck. I am curious about the automatic trans. I would think in 68 this thing would have a 4 speed for a truck that heavy.

Re: Where's the FIRE!!!

That is cool. The questions that have been raised seem to be minor issues. If it has been kept in a fire station, then rust issues should be non existent. Price seems fair for the work that has been done.
