1972 K10 Aftermarket rims

Hey Guys, I've got a 72 k10 with a 4in lift and wanting to buy some nice rims . Looking at 18x9 or 9.5 wide with probably a metric tire in between 33s and 35s x12.5. My question is what is the best rim offset. I like the rims that have a little bit of a deep look to them but I don't want them sticking too far out. One rim I liked had a 1mm offset and looked like the center of the rim was in the middle between front and back. What are your thoughts.

a 9" wheel could go 50/50 on backspace. I guess these days they are using "offset" as a reference to how far off center front is to back. Or is it back to front? It's not a very clear reference to me. Good old "backspace" leave no doubt and before that we went with how much "dish". A reverse rim meant more out than in. I guess most wheels were designed to be centered back in the day. I know the K/20 9.75" wide rims can have 5" backspace on the relatively identical front end.
