1972 truck ashtray sliders
The plastic sliders for my ashtray in my 72 cab are broken. How do i go about fixing these. Is there another year ashtray that doesnt use them and i can swap. Thank you

Re: 1972 truck ashtray sliders
Not to hijack your broken part, but is '72 special in that it doesn't use the ball bearings? Is that '72 only?
Can't help, but want to learn the trivia if you'll indulge... |

They brake all of the time, don't feel bad.
When you say the slider is broken do you mean that the slider on the tray is broke, or do you mean the slider on the dash is broke? |

Is yours spot welded or screw in?

Re: 1972 truck ashtray sliders
I've purchased used sliders off the parts board and then used epoxy to glue them in place and had them last for a good long time over 10years or so till I got rid of the truck

or you could put them back together how they originally came, seems a lot easier to me
