OCC Chopper build

Here is my latest other toy adventure.

I started out with just one to build for me to ride at the beach. Well that soon got followed by another then another and then 1 for my grandson too!

Mine I have raked it and added 40" forks to it, disc brakes to both wheels. I put the biggest rotor I could find on it.
I bought handle bars and nice grips, along with a banana seat and had the sissy bar made at work. I just swapped out the rear wheel assembly for a 7 speed assembly and bought a old school shifter for it. I hope to have it ready to ride by my son's wedding in September at the beach.
I bought a Mongoose a few weeks ago for $40.00 that had the 7 speed back assembly. I robbed it all off that bike for mine.
You can see how much rake I put in mine compared to the other one, they both have the same length forks just no rake in the one on the left.

I got the rear derailer on and the shifter mounted. I have to get a master link to add more chain though. It's getting there.

Oh I found another bike today also. Going to look at it this weekend while at the beach. It's a PHAT CYCLE with 7 speeds.
If I buy it I'll use the spring forks for a pattern to make ones for the OCC bike.

Well I finally got time to finish it. I got 6 speeds out of the 5 speed shifter. It has a 7 speed gear set. I happy though I can actually ride it up my drive way now. It really going to be nice at the beach!:chevy:

I made a hydrate bottle holder for the bike and tweaked on the rear disc brakes. The rear brakes where rubbing and stopping the rear tire when coasting. It's free now.:chevy:

I ordered a set of polished triple tree hangers for the bike. These are 4" wide so the fat tire want scrub no more up front. Going to look good on the OCC!

Got them from Sutter Street Custom in old town Folsom!

The picture shows the forks also but I only ordered the mounts.

I got the tree today and the old stingray 5 speed shifter should be here Friday.
Going to take the shifter a part and cut it and add to it so it looks like a Suicide Shifter!

I installed the billet tree last night. Got to do some tweaking on it but it's a lot heavier now and more stable.:chevy:

I drilled the front left fork and hid the front brake cable inside the fork then mounted the front fender, then I took it all back a part and painted the forks.
I redid the tree's also. I put new bearing and seals in them made it steer a whole lot better.

I had stickers made for the gear shifter. The schwinn turned out to big but the 7 speed was perfect!
Going to have the Schwinn redone.
