Tilt column guru's

Tore down a tilt column and found a ware marks on one of the positional cogs. Not sure if it might have an effect on the actual function of the column . Was hoping some of the column guru might weigh in on the topic. Where mark is on both sides !

That actually looks in remarkably good shape compared to the last one I tackled, and it never gave me any trouble after it was completed.

Did you actually fix it or just debur it. These cogs where in the right location I'm assuming but I couldn't get any clicking or positional locking to happen so what do you think was the issue? If one isn't in the right position neither would work kinda thing ? Was it tricky to reassemble ? I'm not sure haven't tackled one of these myself yet LOL .

I just debured it. It was fine when I reassembled it. I have got to say, it was pain in the rear to do and I promised myself that I would not do another.
If you have reservations you might consider sending it to Kevin at Kevs Classics. He does these on a regular basis.
