Replacing Shifter Bushings

So, I thought I knew what I was doing here. Turns out no, that's not the case. Been having trouble shifting from 2nd to 3rd, and all the advice I've heard and read says to replace the bushings. So, I ordered a pair of these:

Anyway, my trouble is, where exactly are these meant to go? I'm not seeing anywhere in my linkage currently that these would make sense, nor anywhere that they'd even make a difference in the problem. Any help much obliged.

Standard 3-speed, three on the tree.

seems like those bushings would go in the shifter arms where the rods plug in.

That is where they are supposed to go.

What exact problem are you having? Normally if it goes into 2nd OK it would also go into 3rd OK. The most common problem with column three speed shifters is going from the 1st/rev gate to the 2nd/3rd gate. You might have a problem with wear in the shifter box on the steering column. When it gets worn you have to very deliberately move the shift lever or it will lock up between gears. Rebuild parts are available as well as parts to rebuild the shifter at the top of the column. I'm keeping my 3spd also.
BTW, it should be pretty obvious where those bushings go unless someone has modified the shifter arms.
