Horn wiring?

Trying to get my horn working in my 72 blazer, bought a new one, but not sure how they are normally wired in these trucks. 1 or 2 wires? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Most of them I have seen have one green wire.

Well I've got the right wire hooked up then. What could be preventing it from working? wires look good at least under the hood. A fuse maybe?

My truck was missing all the horn components that are in or behind the steering wheel, leaving me with no horn. I'd make sure it has all the correct pieces first, and no wire issues. If you're not missing any parts, and the wires are all good, maybe the horn relay is bad.

The wires seem to be good and all there, I don't think anything is missing as it used to work. Is there something within the steering wheel that can break? I know my dad used to pound on the damn thing. I'm gonna attempt to replace the fuse if any first then I guess the relay. Thanks.

Well I found the problem. Just have no idea whats going on with these wires. Theres nothing plugged into the relay, and what looks like the red green black wire for the relay wouldnt fit in it anyway, instead theres a single wire connected into the rgb wire. Hmmm..

Ideas? Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum.

I had same problem. I just bought an aftermarket horn kit from the parts store (autozone, advance, etc). ran the green, red, and black wires to the new kit. I also had to get a new modern style relay.

Horn works now.

Here is something similar to what I bought

I can take picutures later tonight (If I can remember)

I guess I'll pick up a new relay and one of those kits tomorrow. A pic of wiring would be appreciated, so I know how to hook it in that is. Thanks.

Did you ever get your horn working? I tried to get a few pics but my wiring is such a mess that you couldn't see anything.

I did order a new wiring kit and once that gets installed I will take pics.
