Hi guys/Gals . Rob here new to Chev, came over from the dark side and sold mustang to buy C10 Ute (pickup) I am looking to fit a tacho to the spare middle top gauge hole
on my 67 C10 it is 3.5 in diameter, I know I can get a Brothers tacho kit but I wanted to stay with the white gauges. any suggestions on how I should go about it, Don't know how I managed but I put the pic upside down sorry

Welcome. Converting to right hand drive? I'm sure i have seen the kits to add the white face decal to the factory tach. You will also need a tach harness and a tach circuit board. That mounting tin can be modified to accept a tach or you could buy the proper tach mounting tin from a board member here.

I like the 67's. Post some pictures of the truck when you have time.

Car pics and question, The land down under turned right side up. Answer to previous question no its staying LHook, That's the way it was made and more exciting trying to overtake trucks that way,
I am looking now at putting the tachometer in the spare small hole (2 5/16 inches ) in old talk or 58 mm for progressive thinkers . Any major issues apart from cutting and getting right size and look right to do think,
Main questions is that the instrument lights do not work ( the little red plug in ones, Is it a matter of one blown none will work as I have 2 that are blown. It looks to me like they need to be good to keep the circuirt board in loop. Or is there a way to put power to the circuirt board on the bench so I can check if it is the board or the light switch, Light switch functions fine for all other things but I understand theres a rectifier or something that may be gone? any help appreciated
Stay safe
rob

Love it! That's a good looking truck. Like the wheel/tire combo. Engine compartment looks great. Can't help you out with the tach installation, because my two ears get that job. I know others will chime in soon.

I put this $30 SunPro in my Blazer a long time ago and it's still working. I think maybe they're available with a white face. Been a 5yrs or so but I don't remember it being much trouble to install. Carefully took it out of it's case and it has it's own light. Only 3 wires. I can live with the logo on the face of it.

found another picture, not much better. Previous owner had installed a mid 70's Camaro tach that looked and worked nicely. I shorted it to death messing with something else behind the dash.

Hello Rob,
First of all, Welcome to the forum.
The simplest way to accomplish what you are asking about would be to purchase the Brothers kit, then paint the inner tin that comes with the kit white, then purchase a white face vinyl overlay kit and install the single overlay on the new tachometer face
Here is a link to the kit

Good info thanks guys sunpro looks the part i dismissed the big hole option as i thought the circuit board would foul the rear of the tacho.? The whole kit is an last option as parts usually need to be sourced from usa so rule of thumb is probably double the list price for me once landed here with freight and exchange rate

Here is white face overlay kit http://www.whitegauges.net/products/...ce-Gauges.html
I see you have the original lens with the greenish lettering. They have a lens kit with black lettering for the conversion as well http://www.whitegauges.net/products/...ment-Lens.html

You will need the tach kit as it is the only way to get the inner trim bezel that has the tach hole. (other than getting an original tach cluster) the trim bezel will need to be painted white to look like what you have.
Fixed your pic
Blew right past livrat's post. :exit:
