Bleeding disk/drum combination valve.

I am trying to bleed disk/drum combination/proportion valve, like what is found on the 73-87 trucks. But I notice there are two different tools for the job. One being a a plug that temporarily replaces the warning light, and holds the valve. And the other is a clip like took that holds the front metering valve outward. Which of these works better? Thanks.

Re: Bleeding disk/drum combination valve.

Ive never had to use one if the vavle is blocking one side what i normally do is say its blocking off the rears i open a front bleeder and slowly push the pedal till the light goes out then the vavle is recentered i then gravity bleed it then pressure bleed once i have fuild at the wheels

Thanks truckdude, I might toy with this some more. Though I think I will go ahead and try to use the the tool I mentioned. I would try your method, but my warning switch wiring is not installed yet, so I dont have much for reference.
