Cheyenne Super is highest trim level package for 71/72 chevy. only difference between cheyenne and cheyenne super is woodgrain on gauge bezel,glove box door aluminum with woodgrain,emblem on glove box door and super fender emblems.all cheyennes and supers will have woodgrain on door panels ,headliner ,cargolight,stainless around window trim, deluxe knobs interior,woodgrain lower molding,woodgrain tailgate band with upper tailgate molding and tail light bezels,deluxe marker lights. Some of these items also came standard on custom & custom deluxe and special promo trucks .others are optional except the headliner .

That truck has partial 72 super interior and 67/68 buddy buckets with 71/72 houndstooth cst bucket seat covers

Don't know about Cheyenne Super, but here are the differences according to my '71 sales brochure. They all got L&R mirrors and disc brakes then it goes like this:

Custom: Interior - vinyl, metal door panels, black floor mat. Exterior - hub caps, painted front bumper.

Custom Deluxe: Interior - cloth & vinyl w/color keyed floor mat, lighter, dual horns, insulation & dome light switches.
Exterior - Everything on the Custom plus: Bright metal windshield and rear window moldings and chrome ventipane frames.

Cheyenne: Interior - Deluxe all vinyl seat cover and door panels, carpet, headliner, lighter, pedal trim, insulation, dome light switches. Optional bucket seats w/console. Exterior - Everything on Custom & Custom Deluxe Plus: Cheyenne nameplates; chrome front bumper, cargo light, bright lower body & side moldings, fuel filler cap & tailgate trim.

Probably left out one or two things, but that's about it.

The Customs came with no mouldings.
The Custom Deluxes came with black lower moulding,tailight/upper/lower trim on tailgate.
The Cheyennes came with woodgrain lower moulding,tailight/upper/woodbrain band across center of tailgate.

on the inside of the glove box is it painted or chromed? I dont have a glove box door on my 72 super and i noticed that on the supers they have chrome surrounding the woodgrain. if i was going to re-do my glove box to look original could i get the chrome glovebox door off of LMC and just put the woodgrain sticker on it?

Inside of the glovebox door is painted. The woodgrain repop stickers are horrible. I would look for a nice used original on the parts board. I sold one not too long ago, and there is a board member looking into reproducing ones of better quality.

The woodgrain on the glovebox door is an aluminum applique with a bead around the edge adhered to the same door as all the others.There are holes in the door that align with the holes in the applique for the Cheyenne Super badge.Watch you don`t get a 69/70 "Custom" door.They have different holes and so do the 67/68s.This is all Chevrolet.The Sierra Grande is the same as a Cheyenne Super.
