2015 crappy headlights what to do??
Ordered my 2015 GMC Sierra in 14 2500 HD and the lights are terrible. Gm upgraded the lights after I complained about them. That was a waste of time so I went to LEDs first set lasted almost 1 year and they burnt out. Gm replaced these lights on warranty. They worked ok still not the greatest but I guess tonight on my way home these new head lights (less than a year old) drivers burnt out. I need to fix these once and for all. I'm not sure this is the forum to ask on but I thought there's a lot of knowledgeable people on here so thought its sure worth a try. So can anyone here have some answers. I've searched the net and there seems to be a lot of opinions out there but I haven't seen anything that seems to be the sure fired answer.

No solutions for you, but I'm in a similar boat with my wife's '07 Acadia. I'm not pleased with the blue tint to the light that the factory lamps emit, and the lenses are pretty hazed, so I'm looking for a good replacement that will fix both of those issues.

Re: 2015 crappy headlights what to do??
How did GM update your 2015 2500HD headlights? I know the Silverado got a bad headlight review but is your complaint on low beams or both. I may just try adjusting the low beams up if possible. I do not have a complaint on high beams.
Also side view while making sharp turns could be improved. Maybe an LTZ has side turns lights --dunno, I have a WT. |

There is a TSB for that issue: TSB #PIT5374
I thought I was just going blind and I turn on the fog lights at night. I have a 1500 Sierra sold as a 2015 but built in 2014. http://www.gmcproblems.com/trends/terrible-headlights/ |
Re: 2015 crappy headlights what to do??
Ok, I may not have as much a problem or at least not as noticeable to me. I ordered my Chevy silver ice 2500HD Duramax 4wd reg cab long bed with convenience package and NO snow plow prep on March 30, 2015. It appeared they were not going to build it but I finally received it on July 30, 2015. It may be near one of the last ones built and have the upgrade already.

Re: 2015 crappy headlights what to do??
I have a 2015 1500 Sierra and the Headlights are horrible. I sure wish GM could come up with a real fix to this issue. My dealer has sort of just blew me off with this. I guess maybe I should try going to another dealer, but I'm sure they would just pull up my vehicle and know I've already complained about it.

Re: 2015 crappy headlights what to do??
Search over on the duramax forum, a lot of guys over there have posted different mods they've done on their LML equipped trucks to help out. *The LML is the duramax engine code for the 11-16 HDs*

I took mine in today and this is the repair they are going to perform to fix the lighting issue. Service writer said they are going to change the bulbs and then re-align the headlight assemblies. Hopefully this fixes the dim headlights.

Re: 2015 crappy headlights what to do??
My 2015 Denali's headlights sucked, I took it in and had the TSB upgrade done, still sucked, I just traded it in on a 17 GMC SLT, the new LED headlamps are really good, anyone with a 14 or 15 that wants good lights may have to do the LED swap

Re: 2015 crappy headlights what to do??
It made it a lot better, I think the LED upgrade like the 2016 models would be the best fix.
