I can take some a bit later, if you need. Burt posted quite a few of his, in this forum.

I had to run a shorter pitman arm, WFO provided it, I think is is from a Full-Size Wrangler. I have High-steer w/low lift and a BBC so not much room/space. In a none High-steer setup or a bigger lift you prolly won't need a shorter pitman arm?? Each setup seams to be slightly different from the next so..get parts and keep building until it's right hehehe:lol::mm:

I know this is an old thread, but thought I would pull it up to see if there is any updated info on this. Any systems out there on a 4" lift, 67-72?

If you look at the pics of mine above that's a 4" lift on a 72, plenty of clearance between leaf springs and tie rods. Arms are from Off Road Design and I made the steering rod and drag link from DOM tubing.

Re: crossover steering

Yeah I think you'll have plenty of clearance. On 73- trucks, they can have clearance issues with the motormount crossmember. But the 67-72's are different.

Thanks guys,
Will be sending my knuckle to WFO soon as I get back home and finally be able to get back on my blazer. Blazerman, as far as the steering arm, is that a 1.5" or 2" arm with you 4" lift? I'll be using WFO for all the crossover parts, a little cheaper than ORD, and Red Head for the steering box. Thanks again for the info

The pitman arm I used is a 4" drop arm from Pro-Comp and is for a Ford F-150 or Bronco.

My steering shaft is made up of all Borgeson parts, 3/4" DD shaft, vibration dampining u joint at the steering box and a standard u joint at the column end. It gives a much better road feel.

Mine works great on the road, never had a problem with it at all, would cruise 70 mph down the road with one finger on the wheel. I've also had quite a few trucks with lifts and the standard drag link setup and never really had any problems with those either on the road.
