Project: ROGUE GMC

After Six months and countless hours researching online, i have finally acquired the necessary items to hopefully build a 1-ton quad cab 1969 GMC. The last part, a 1969 suburban i dragged into my garage this weekend after i put a coat of sealer on the bed, fenders and hood for the project, so i could move them outside. The search for parts is over; now the real work begins :gmc2:

finished cleaning out the suburban, found out it was my brother buddy from high school rig, explains all the dents in the back, its time to preform some civil war surgery and take off the back with a sawzall

I felt bad about chopping up the suburban those things are great, but the back was in horrible shape and "you got to break a few eggs to make an omelet".
spent the weekend pulling the axles off a 1 ton, two dana 60 should fit my project nice. got a little further on combining the two cabs the right side looks pretty straight forward its the drivers side that i'm still working out, the want to make it a four door is there, next week is dead week then finals week so not going to get much done, but spring break should be able to makeup time

Well finally starting to look like a four door, went to scrap yard and found a GMC front clip and a roof that's in good shape for the front of the roof, issues going to be connecting the back to the front and making the inside look stock.

finally decided on a 12 valve cummins turbo diesel, manual, figured i'd set the crew cab on the dodge frame and move body mounts to fit. but that's a ways off still need to finish roof and build fourth door and alter third door

having an issues getting door to line up, decided to use a cab top to get the roof right inside and outside, but having an issue lining up the gap between the door and windshield, if you can see it in the picture it looks like it starts then starts to go off at an angle. the original looks angled to me too. all the other gaps around the door look good, uniform through out and same measurements throughout. the angle is off by less than a half degree from the original angle so i'm at a loss on how to get that upper corner down to fit and get the gap aligned?
