Choke Connection to Quadrajet

I've got a 283 with a 4MV quadrajet and thermostat divorced choke. The original carb had a choke cable attached and I still have the choke cable. Can you get a bracket to attach it properly to the choke so I don't have to use the divorced air choke?

Any pics would be great too. It starts great in the cold but is harder to start when slightly warmed up (like a quick trip to the store).

Thanks

It is hard to hook a manual choke to a Q-jet. It would be best to go back to original if you can find the pieces.

Do you mean back to a 2-barrel carb?

Wrenchbender is correct. It's not easy to do. It's better to go electric, find a carb with manual choke or revert to divorced choke. Years ago I tried to change my old 69 with a divorced choke to a manual choke and it didn't work out too well. Ended up wiring the choke open since I didn't need it that much here in Texas.

forgot to add: It did work for a while but it was a "rig" and didn't look too professional.

No. No. Q-jet is the way to go. If the carb originally matched the manifold get the parts to go back to the devorced choke as it was originally set up.

Thanks for the replies. The divorced choke is working ok-just wanted to use that choke knob I guess! Hate useless things left installed.

Oh well.
