door lock knob questions???

I have recently pulled 2 different looking lock knobs off of two 1967 cst's that looked like really original trucks. Pic's below. which style would be stock original to 1967's. both are metal but the shorter ones are much heavier than the longer ones and i believe 67 was the last year they used metal before they went to plastic. Thanks in advance, Rod.

I am still amazed at the differences in such a simple machine. My base truck has these. Do you think they had a focus group in those days to select lock knobs?

I know the larger ones were used in cars in 67 but unsure about trucks.
