What type and size exhaust will this be? If you go with Borla, I would lean more toward the ProXS line. I recently did an exhaust on a 292 with a Langdon's split header, dual 2.25" diameter exhaust to a Dynomax Ultra Flow X-pipe muffler that sounds really nice...I think most of the sound is a result of the 2.25" diameter tubing, though.

Right now it 2.25" all the was from the exhuast manifold. Flowtech makes a long tube split header that has 1.5" primary tube the goes into a 2.5" Collector. i plan on running 2.5" all the way out because i really want to do tons of head work like putting bigger valves in, port, polish and lump port kit putting a bigger cam in and idd like to mill the head down to up the compression but im not sure how much valve to piston clearance i have and idd love to put the three one barrle carbs on it even though it would be a big pain to tune it in but i love the look and its going to be streeted alot. and thats awsome because are 78 mustang runs the 2.5" Dynomax Ultra Flow X-pipe muffler

My brothers 68 with a 292 has clifford headers with a y pipe going to single 3 inch with a flowmaster mufffler, I think its a 40 series. His name is Mayo on this board.

Its a good driving truck, with a saginaw 4 speed it would spin tires 1st-4th. Its got a little lope to the idle and i'd say its faster than my 305 swb

Bump!

was wondering about the Warlocks myself. have a 73 with a 292 and just want to do something a little different. seems like the holley products ought to be good, but wondered how much extra you end up paying for that bypass, and if i never plan on using it, why pay for it?

what'd you end up going with Dragun?

Nice post...I just amped up my six and went thru 3 mufflers before the exhaust note agreeded with me. I have intake a 4bbl carb head work done and a set of Stovebolt headers with dual exhaust (no xpipe) 2.5 pipe exiting down before the rear bumper....I really like the Dynamax with this setup, no cackle or popping or hee-haw sound....just nice smooth with great performance, maybe a little subtle but sounds great at WOT.

I tried:
Flowmaster and it was tuff at idle but way to hotrod nascar for me.
Magna flow (loved the sound of this muffler at idle and WOT....it just cackled on the down shift way to much). I dont need the attention with my paint job.

so that is my 2 cents.....have fun with the 6....they rule!
