WTB:700r4
Anyone got a built 700 laying around that will work behind a built 454.i am thinking of going that route instead of a 400 for the
90 silverado im building. |
If you are going to put a 700 behind that I wouldhighly recommened having one built yourself. I have ran 2 of them on a 383 and just pulled the 2nd out and went witha 350. I never got a good shift from either one. Go with the 400 if you want performance. I was only putting about 450 horse to it.

your going to have a very hard time getting a 700r4 to stay together behind a big block, better stick with a th400 or go to a 4l80

You can get a 700r4 to hold up behind a BB. They were installed behind diesels from factory. The thing to do is call around and get a written warranty saying that they will gurantee it in your truck with that BB in it. Then find out about the shops that give you a warranty on their workmanship.

Good luck on finding a company to back you on that one. Any one in my area sells everything as is due to the fact that there are so many people street racing and drag racing. If a part wears they will fix it but if it breaks they wont.
