audio newbie, need help

i have stock piled a bunch of audio parts over the last year or so and its time to put them all together in my truck.. haha im really new to this and need some advice.

-i have two 10" mtx subs with a phoenix gold xs2300, 300watt amp.
-i have two 120w jvc 6x9, and will be getting two more 250w near future.
-i have this dock http://www.precision-acoustics.com/head_pa5600bt.php

my questions are:
1. do i need another amp for my speakers?
2. will this dock work good with my subs?
3. is this a good overall set up?

thanks!:metal:

All is good!! except i think you might be underpowering the subs, if you would the full bang then you should go with a bigger watt amp but other then that its fine

You dont NEED an amp for the 6x9's but if you want to be loud(er) then you can add one. Just watch out for too much heat if you run the speakers off the head unit alone

i was thinking about upgrading to a 500w amp eventually, but for now it should pound hard enough.

Look at the RMS rating. The rating that you always see is the peak rating. I ran 4 6x9's on two 2 chanel 200 watt amps. It was loud as hell. You should be fine with that amp. The audiophiles might say otherwise but its a 30 year old truck not a new cadillac

Thanksfor your help, like you said it's a 30 year old truck.. If I wanted a perfect audio system I wouldn't be useing all these mix matched used parts
