A 5.3 has the same crank as a 5.7.
You can bore a 5.3 out to a 5.7.

Yes, a 4.00" stroke crank is available. Lots of guys make 383s with them (and no, I'm not confusing it with a SBC of the same displacement).

Just my thoughts....you might think about a 6 .0, vs the boring & stroking (dollar wise)? The 6.0, will make 370 cubes, on a .030 overbore, & handle larger valves, for the power upstairs;) Longhorn

Or, better yet, a bored/stroked 6.0 :metal:

Yes, bigger is better ;) You can poke any 4.8 or 5.3 block 3 mm (LS1, 5.7 bore spec). Mucho money on the bore, & the stroker parts are expensive! I have to agree...if you want to play, poke & stroke the big one.:chevy: Longhorn
