What engine?

Its been many about 27 years since i ever looked at one of these which was in a 1945 Chev Pickup and it had a 216 i think, rebuilt a 235 once too, but..... fast forward to today..

I need to figure out what engine this is? don't remember where to look, its covered with grime, and the SPID only has 6 lines of info on it neither of which have engine type, no other stickers ect..

Its a 67 C10, far as i know the stock engine, guessing a Rochester 1 bbl? I need the standard plugs, points condenser, air filter ect, so i donno if I'm safe saying its a 250 or if i need to be more specific.

Re: What engine?

To my understanding there are only 2 L-6 engines stock in these trucks, 250 and 292. Based on the engine mounts that looks like a 250.

My '67 has only 1 visor and no armrests.

Re: What engine?

It's definitely a 250 and not a 292.

Re: What engine?

There should be a stamping on the engine block behind the distributor that will give you the engine suffix just like the V8's

If you look in the bay look at the motor mounts. The 250 motor mounts would be across from each other. I believe the 292 are offset.
