Lower control arm cupping and weld in c-notch

5 Attachment(s)
I know there has been countless threads on cupping lower control arms and I've wondered if there would be much interest in being ably to purchase the bag pockets to modify your arms or even a service to modify or exchange your arms for a set with the dropped pocket. Also thinking about offering a weld in c-notch with a chassis specific boxing plates. We've been using these like crazy in the shop, just not sure if theres already too many options. Below is a c10 aired it with our simple bag kit, weld in c notch, 2" lowering block, and cupped lower arms

I'd be interested in the cups if the price is reasonable!

what price would it need to be to be "reasonable"? I could offer it in welded or unwelded form.

I am interested in a weld in notch for the rear to fit my '85 suburban if that's something that may be on your radar.

I'm interested in the cups also. Maybe i'd send you a set of stock control arms and you send me the completed arms. Pricing is the name of the game. Also, would the uppers need altering or modifying? I was told that the upper control arms need to be pie cut to keep the uppers from binding.

I'd be on board for a set of front cups if the price was right. Not even welded if I could save money that way. Just two tubes and plates in a flat rate box. I'd weld them out and fit them into my own arms.

I suspect there is a bit of a market for this kind of thing if you decide to run with it. Kind of like the "welder Series" of parts that cater to the street rodders.

Re: Lower control arm cupping and weld in c-notch

I have no idea on the price but like txfirefighter said if they came unwelded as a "welder series" type of thing that would be cool too!

What ID on the cups? Some run 7" while others need 8" bags. Keep that in mind.

Re: Lower control arm cupping and weld in c-notch

Do both and adj the price accordingly. Maybe do a few more of the more popular one or a few less of the less popular one or something.

Re: Lower control arm cupping and weld in c-notch

i'd say if you could do 8" cup so it fits all bags, and an upper bag plate for 100? wouldn't be bad... i'd leave them unwelded.. since you have to weld them in anyways.

sending a arms back and forth i can't see them being cheap to ship maybe could be viable for someone without a welder but still just shipping would be almost what it costs in the first place?

I might be interested too.

Re: Lower control arm cupping and weld in c-notch

These have an 8" I.D. $100+shipping might be doable with the upper bag bracket.

How much for the bagged cups only? My bags are mounted already. I'll be the first to buy.

I don't have an exact price but I'm thinking about $75.00

Re: Lower control arm cupping and weld in c-notch

I like the "welder series" idea too. The 8" id cup kit for $75 seams ok.

Is that 2 rings about 2" tall and 2 plates with the bag mounting holes in them?

Re: Lower control arm cupping and weld in c-notch

75 for the unwelded setup sounds reasonable to me, and the 100 would be alright to if I didn't already have upper mounts already

For about 100 bones count me in too. I'm pretty much only interested in the cups welded or unwelded.

Re: Lower control arm cupping and weld in c-notch

The real value is in the short pieces of 8" pipe/tube. I searched all over for a remnant and came up with nothing- at least a couple of hours wasted there.
I ended up hand bending a 3/16" x 3" bar which was hard work and took another hour or so.

Cutting the round plate out of 3/16 with a hand grinder was another hour since curves take a lot of detail work

I wish I had found this thread.- I would defintely have hit you up.

You can get the rings at Speedymetals

I bought mine and cut the bottoms out of a piece of plate. For $75 I would go with way2lo all day long

How about a c-notch kit for square body blazers? Nobody makes one that I can find.
