Shocks

Got my drop stuff in the other day. 5 inch rear drop, 2 inch block later on, now into the shocks. How are the CPP 5 inch drop shocks? I got their relocators - will these shocks work with the relocators? If so - are they worth the money?

Also - going 3 inch drop in front, can I run a set of CPP's 3 inch drop shocks in the front with no relocation?

Re: Shocks

The best shock you can buy are Ridetech hands down. Worth every penny.

The BEST!?! Wow, that is a heck of a claim.

Ok best for the price. There is some really expensive stuff out there that might be better.

Oh wait maybe someone else uses Fox shocks as well.

But what do you guys think of CPP's? This is a low buck build, intended for a daily (most part), I don't mind a little bit of a rough ride, but if they're junk I'd like to know before buying

I would try to figure out who they use. I'd imagine they are a private label. And they'll be extremely soft and boaty with little control.

If you get something from either of the two Fox suppliers (Hotchkis and Ridetech) you'll be getting what we feel is the best tuned application for that chassis.
At Hotchkis we've established our valving based on driving on the street and the track as well as using the same technology that F-1, Indycar and NASCAR teams use to develop their shock programs. Each shock comes from Fosx as a "blank" and is hand built by our techs before they leave Hotchkis, tuned for each application.

Re: Shocks

Kyle my truck has the CPP kit of shocks and springs under it and the shocks are not so good. I have another thread about daily drivers going and working on the same problem you are having.
