Wiper motor kit
Can anyone tell me if a 54-55 wiper 12v kit will fit a 49? If not what's the difference? Thanks

No....the mounting is not the same. You can make it work but fab work will need to be done

Ah ok many thanks, I've just jumped in head first & bought one without thinking as it was a good price, if it's doable then that isn't so bad! Thanks

This is what I made, I only had a photo to go by. Just a slight alteration when I fitted

I did the same (trying to mount a 54 motor) but it never worked oke for me, so bought a new wiperkit for '49.
If you need measurements of the bracket let me know |

Where the transmissions fit onto the motor (where the spring clips fit) could you measure the distance between the 2, many thanks

After making a new bracket & moving the position of the pins I now having working 2 speed wipers. Many thanks Gr Richard

Great forum, 15 years ago I spend days to figure what was wrong, never thought the pins where also different.....
