The red truck is back
So after a short affair, I came back to my true love. Don't know what you have till it's gone, right? Without holding any grudges, she fired right up when I pulled her out of storage a couple of days ago. I've come to the conclusion that I have to put some time into this relationship (and money) for a good outcome. Got a few ideas that will hopefully make her my semi - daily driver.
That said here's my re - introduction. Looking forward to being back reading the forums and possibly being able to contribute again. |

Re: The red truck is back
Yep that looks familiar right down to the rubber bushings and the support bracket in the background. Mine's on the floor in the garage and I swear it's got it out for my big toe! Not sure if you're ever down this way but if you are, pm me. I'm sure we can work something out for the sake of avoiding future broken toes. ;)

san Carlos huh.... I may be dowm there sooner rather than later. I need to re evaluate my financial sittiation. (It's pay week for me this week :D ) and I'm sure after that we could work out a deal to get that toe stubbed out of your garge. Ha.

Nice to see ya back and the truck looks happy not being locked up in prison. ;)

Re: The red truck is back
It does look kind of happy. I was trying to convince myself that it was on sabtical (I think that's what the smart people call it) after working hard all its life. When it fired up first crank though, I knew it was anxious to get paroled! Lol

Re: The red truck is back
Looks great, never get tired of looking at a 63. Now according to the parts books there is an early and late version. What style of drag link do you have?

61K10, WhippinSaw and Jason, thanks!
Jason, last time I was here, I don't remember you having a herd? Looks like there are at least 4 here in Cali. Good to see them semi local! |

Re: The red truck is back
Ok, left over memory fart. I apologize
According to the parts book 62 had an early and late model Steering Connecting Rods. 61-early 62 shared the same Rod. Tubular Rod with Studs (which I had on my 62 K10) 62 later had a Rod of it's own. Solid Rod with Studs 63-66 all shared the same Rod but different part number than late 62. |
Re: The red truck is back
