Lowering Questions

I have a 1971 C10 with 15" Torque Thrust Ds with 8" wide 3-3/4 offset. 255/70R15 tires. I am planning on getting 2-1/4 drop spindles on the front from Brothers and 3" drop springs for the back and need a little input:
A) I know I need shorter shocks for the rear, but do I need to relocate the shocks as well?
B) Will I need an adjustable track arm with only 3" drop?
C) Stock length shocks up front okay?
D) I have read that there may be rubbing on the a-arms with the drop spindles and 15" wheels, any one know if this will be an issue

I don't want it slammed I just want to bring it out of the air a little. I still want to be able to haul a load of dirt once in a while.
Thanks in advance.

Tim

Re: Lowering Questions

A) No for the front and I would personally get shorter shocks and relocation.
B) No. You will need an adjustable and bowed for rear end clearance once you get to 5" or lower...
C) Yes
D) Not sure. I wouldn't think so with only 2.25 drop.

Re: Lowering Questions

Thanks Casey, so with the relocation kit I still go with the 3" drop shocks?

Thanks again

Re: Lowering Questions

Yes. All the rear relocation kit does is change the angle of the rear shock so that it will perform better with the drop. Very easy to put in. All you have to do is air hammer out the rivets for the current brackets and then bolt in the new. You will still need the drop shock because the gap regardless of angle is smaller than that of stock height.
