Re: 1960 grille
Try FedEx, they're between $35 and $65 for grilles, depending on how far it's going. I've shipped a bunch of them that way.
|
Re: 1960 grille
Thanks I will try them. It seems that the others are way too high.
|
Re: 1960 grille
Sure thing. Try to keep the dims as small as possible while still protecting the grille.

Re: 1960 grille
It is definitely cheaper with Fed Ex looking into it the prices are similar for Xray76,62 Big Window and Bomp . It would be around $50 for shipping ground.

Re: 1960 grille

Re: 1960 grille

Re: 1960 grille
It really isn't any of my business, but please do pad and protect not just a grill, but anything you ship. The grill I bought not long ago, had absolutely no padding, just stuffed in a box. Now I have an expensive grill that needs a lot more work than it needed when I bought it. You just have to keep in mind that the people that are handling these packages, are trying to destroy the package.

Re: 1960 grille
Especially if you leave the lights in. I received a grill last week as well. Grill was fine ,but a box full of headlight glass. They just throw stuff around.

Re: 1960 grille
Good advice. I have seen a lot of damage as well. I try to over pack when possible.

Re: 1960 grille
Great looking grill . Worth what you are asking. Good luck with your sale.

Re: 1960 grille
Buy a 4' x 8' x 1" sheet of Rigid Styrofoam insulation from a home improvement store.
Cut it into slices about 6 inches wider than the grill. Take one slice and place the grill on it, cut out around the grill so it sets down inside that piece. Set that piece between two other pieces, with the grill in it and make a sandwich out of it. Tape it up with some Gorilla tape, grab some cardboard from the appliance /furniture store dumpster, cut to fit the package, tape that on and you have a durable shipping package. |
Re: 1960 grille
FYI, perro13 shipped a grill through FedEx to me and it arrived with no damage. He wrapped it in used carpet foam padding, wrapped it up with clear cellophane wrap, a little tape. It wasn't perfectly square just protected for the ride. Check with perro13, he has the 411 on shipping parts for our trucks.

Re: 1960 grille
God info. I will try to pack it well when I sell it. The shippers are not always careful with packages.
