69 C10 with Factory Front Disk Brakes?
Has anyone seen/heard of a 69 C10 with factory front disk brakes? This is a big block truck, SWB that has been on the farm its whole life. Doesn't seem like someone would have went through the trouble to do the swap on this truck. SPID says Heavy Duty front SP, option F60. It is 6 lug. Anybody?

Re: 69 C10 with Factory Front Disk Brakes?
GM never had disc brakes until the 1971 model year, and they were 5-lug.
I did my first disc brake conversion in the 80's with 73-87 parts. That was over 30 years ago,... so anything can happen with these old trucks. |

Any chance it's a 71-72 truck with '69 front sheet metal or grille?

Re: 69 C10 with Factory Front Disk Brakes?
They don't look like the rosette rivets on mine, but it looks like they are hexagon shaped on the upper tag. With all the oxidation around them, they don't look touched.

Re: 69 C10 with Factory Front Disk Brakes?
people have been upgrading the front brakes on those trucks since 1971, I don't know when 6 lug rotors first became available but I do remember several trucks running around in the 80's with 6 lug on the back and 5 lug in the front. they probably just swapped to 6 lug rotors when they became available

cdowns,... you don't have to be an ass about it.
WTF is wrong with you? When you blow up the pic there is an obviouse hex shape,... but it's still not a rosette rivet. |

Lets agree to disagree and not have a pissing match. We all know how those tend to end.
