Anyone ever use one of these bolt kits?

Or recommend another? How complete are the kits? Do they come with J/U-nuts and screws? Do the "originals" look original, and how were they finished? Quality?

See post #6, here....... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=531398

I take that as a no. Not that I don't love a wire brush and mulling over how to refinish everything.

I bought the Totally Stainless kit for my Blazer about 15 years ago. Would definitely buy again. Everything is packaged and labeled to its location and those weird fasteners that have odd head shapes are included. But this was also a long time ago, so hopefully their quality is still good.

You recall what the hardware covered (e.g., fenders)?

The kit was absolutely complete for trim, interior, doors, hood, and fenders. I did purchase more fasteners for inner fenders and random brackets. I now buy most of my fasteners from Fastenal due to their selection. You can get exactly the style and material you are looking for. I would still buy the kit first. Seems like a good deal to get correct style fasteners. Kit even included stainless ARP trans. to engine bolts.

The kit did not include J or U nuts. I believe you have a choice of natural or polished finish. I went with natural.

Also, be careful with the stainless bolts. They are brittle and do not accept torque well. They don't like heat either.
