Plans are to maybe lower it some, but roads here in Maine aren't real flat so we will see. other that no real big changes, just some cosmetic to make it my own.

So what do you guys think 2/4 drop or a 3/4.
What kit would you suggest, by the way it is on an 86 chassis. Will be looking for a set of stock rims and caps also. |

I would say 12/12 would be a tad to low for my taste.Weiand Intake, and 4 Stomberg Carburetors.

Just got truck home and is not as nice as was described but still nice. Just a lot of panel adjustment to do( I hope that's all it is ) has a sun roof. looks like body was mounted high will see if it can be lowered without to much work. needs a tilt column. heater needs to be hooked up as well as wiper motor all little things that will be addressed in time. deff needs new wheels.

Wife likes the whites so there is no vote on that lol. Will try to lower some . PO used original frame and cut and fab it to the 86 frame, so no way to lower body, will have to be a lowering kit for sure. Having lots of problem with throttle pedal like a rock and it wont kick down below 2000rpm. All the fun everyone has with doors PO says it has new hinges but a lot of up and down play, also driver door seems to be behind fender catches fender when opening. |

well the 4 deuces had to go no way to hook the tv cable to them and have it operate correctly. PO had the cable hooked to the throttle pedal, hopefully no damage done to tranny.

You will know real quick on the tv cable thing if it caused damage. As fun as those four carbs are to look at I sure wouldn't wouldn't want to buy the gas to feed them even on a little hot rod with a small block in it. I'd think you can easily sell them for more than what you have tied up in a replacement carb and intake if you don't have another home for them.
I'm not a real fan of the wheels but if you keep the visor the visor needs the whitewalls. To me performance style alloy wheels with wide whites and a visor is having the truck try to run in opposite directions at the same time. |

Nice truck.
I like 'em in the air. I think it needs 16" tires myself. No problem being in the minority though. I know when folks get tired of playing with belly scrapers I'll be popular again. ;) 1bbl carbs?? Those look more like Stromberg 97's to me, tiny 2bbl's. Those manifolds were drag race items in the late '50s and early '60s. If it's original it's hard to find. But there are repros available if you like to spend money. Either way it's an expensive combination. Manifold = $400, carbs = $200 ea, linkage = $200 - $300, air cleaners, fuel lines, and blocks = $200. But the folks who think shiny four-links and Ebay coil-overs are cool can be forgiven if they don't recognize classy, vintage-style, go fast parts. :lol: Switch to EFI and you can have the multi-carb look with fuel economy and manners. BTW, what is the relay with the large blue wires on the firewall? And what are the shiny bolt lookin' things on the front of the bed just behind the cab? |

As much as I love lowered trucks I think I would ditch the wide whites for some more aggressive (Mud Type) tires and run it the way it is.
