Emblems

Hello, I obtained all the emblems for a 1969 longhorn custom camper, so if you can't get behind the area where you install them to put a clip on the pin, How do you secure it?

Re: Emblems

1. Disassemble to access the rear of the emblem mounting.
2. If #1 is not realistic, use 3M double-sided tape.

Just drop the inner fender. It will give you access and you can clean and paint all that stuff you removed. Really not a big deal. Put truck on jack stands and remove the tire to get more room. Go slow and have fun.

Go Slow and have fun? What about the J-nuts that will not come loose? Is that still fun? YEP! That's fun too.

x2, that is what I'm having to do twice, removing the old emblems and trim, then bolting the inner fenders back, I will take it to get painted then have to unbolt inner fenders again to install new trim and emblems...also had to take doors off just to remove trim,I have the cheyenne, so lots of trim...I have the saddle gas tanks,so I removed the lower trim luckily without having to drop the tanks, but to install the new trim I will have to drop them....and have to remove the freshly painted doors again.....it sucks, but I have no choice....so I will" go slow and have fun " ha ha

they come with screw on nuts that cut their own threads, thread the nuts on and off before mounting them on the truck, will make it alot easier..

Mine were a pain to put in, but dropping the inner fenders worked best. While at it I replaced all of the J nuts and bolts for a better reassembly.

3m weatherstrip adhesive also works for some applications
