I need the getrag model..
|
Get hold of an Hollander interchange manual for year to year details, The Getrag is in it's 3rd design phase and is called NV3500. Still available in GM trucks (i have one in my 03 GMC 1500). Also if you have connections across border in Mexico, Tremec 3450 replaces the NV on all 1500 Chevys, GMC's and Dodges. Much nicer trans, quieter, smoother and bolts right up.
http://www.ttcautomotive.com/English...ts/TR-3450.asp good luck, |
So you're saying the getrag is the same as the NV3500?
The chilton says they are stamped differently.. I have already found a tranny at a good price through someone on this board... No connections in Mexico.. All the connects I have are for imports.. :( |
What i'm saying is check with Hollander interchange manaul at local salvage yard. They can tell you what year trans will fit. I don't know if GM made any changes to bellhousing/engine block through the years. I doubt it but check to make sure.
