1965 Calico Beast
5 Attachment(s)
Ok guys, I've never started a thread on my 65 long bed so here it goes . A few of my buddies call it the beast and I had called it calico so hence the name Calico Beast.
I acquired this one in Dec. of 2014 and it was completely stock. 6cyl 3-speed on the tree and so on. Pretty bare bones, but it was solid. I was going to cut it down to a short bed because I'm not a long bed fan. But the more I looked at it I decided to leave it alone. I couldn't cut up a rust free bed. Fast forward a few years and it has went through a few changes. Power steering/power brakes, ECE 5.5"/6" drop. Blueprint 383 435hp/450 ft lbs torque, 700 r4, 3.73 posi rear end. The only body repair I did was the front fender rot. I like patina but I had to fix the rust holes. I'm sure I've forgotten some other thing I have done but here are a few pics. |
Re: 1965 Calico Beast
That's a good looking truck and sounds like it ought to be a fun driver.
