1987 Silverado was delivered today. Not sure if the running boards are staying on.

How did it check out? I hope you didn't find any (bad) surprises.

Re: New horse in the stable
Overall I’m pleased with the purchase.
The inside is a 10 in my book. The seats and carpet look very nice. The exterior is a 8 out of 10 for the age. Down low there are a couple rust spots. I think they started under all the trim and the fact it was in salt country. 99 percent of the paint is very nice. I think the running boards are going to give way to nerf bars and I will repair the couple spots. Mainly to prevent it from getting worse. |

I'm glad you're satisfied. The interior looked fantastic from the pics. Yeah salt is a killer. My 78 is a crazy story, it spent its entire life in OH and never once saw salt or snow (<22K miles). Those were the exact running boards my mom had on her Blazer. I yanked them when I got my hands on that K5. I did the old Skyler (?) soft top, the one that made it look like a pickup. I loved it. Those throttle body EFI were pretty peppy too. My uncle's 88 would blow away my mom's 86 w/ the carbed 05. I'm glad you ended up with the 87, sounds like it found a good home.

Sweet... That's the same paint scheme my first K5 had. It was an 83. The top was white on mine though. More pics?
