ignition switches

Are task force Ignition switches the same as 60-66 chevy truck or something else?
I bought a set of keys and locks for the doors and glove box and the ignition.. I can find ignition switch that works with the ignition yet?
I'd really like to have one key for everything..

I don't believe they are close to the same. After looking they are not.

This is Brothers page for the ignition switch for the 61 if it opens up to the right page. I see that they must have updated their webpage as it is actually rather simple to navigate now. https://www.brotherstrucks.com/Switc...products/1810/
If that doesn't work go 60/66 Electrical, switches and it will open.

This is Classic parts page for the same thing. Note on either you will need switch, Bezel and lock cylinder if your lock cylinder doesn't match the one in the photo on the page. "universal" switches suck when put in any Chevy truck as they always want to turn in the hole and have wall locker keys in them.

This Rock auto page should show the Goodmark number for the correct switch, Looks like they are out of stock there but that number entered in a search might find one. http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/c...er+switch,4700

Try checking you local NAPA store. They might have a Standard brand with original configuration. I learned early on that a lot of the online classic specialty places were buying the same stuff from Standard and marking it way up.

Re: ignition switches

I wanted better quality than the readily available offshore ignition switch, Danchuck makes one with the same look and feel as the original. I also used their lock cylinder and key set.

Re: ignition switches

Checking Napa you can buy an Echlin switch As Orrie suggested for 18.69 locally. It may be in stock at a local store or it can be had on the next stock shipment with no shipping costs. Your call your dime.

That's an oem replacement switch. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/ECHKS6175
