PS, ALT, AC for Chevy 235

Well guys,

I might be an edge case compared to most, but I'm pretty excited to get my 54 235 setup with power steering, air conditioning, and an alternator. I had two options that I had researched: buy the deluxe vintage air kit (alt and compressor on driver side) for 1700 and make a bracket on the other side to mount (ps) or get the basic ac kit ~1400 and get this guys adapter for ~600

The cool thing is I get the power steering and ac on the right sides for how I want it. I have a 53 3100 with the dodge Dakota suspension/rack and pinion so I can stay stock with the engine, but still handle well. I also will be using a t5 for the tranny. Just thought I'd share this for future guys looking to have the best of both worlds w/ a six. I wonder how many ponies I will lose once I get everything setup.

FYI the Dakota swap is found here: http://industrialchassis.com

73, i was looking at the davis brackets for my '57 235. I made brackets for the PS and Alt for the drivers side trying to copy the davis ideas. Had not planned on AC when i made them. Kind of rethinking the desire for AC and cant get a good look at how they do the bracket for the pump on the passenger side. It looks like its all part of the same bracket the alt uses to mount on the drivers side. Is that correct? Does the main upper bracket mount under the the water houseing for both sides? Thanks, when you have time no hurry

I think the bracket does mount on both sides, I thought about fabbing my own brackets, but I just wanted it all to work the first time around and just get some momentum for my project plus I'd like to support folks building these as most folks are going to LS/GEN I motors.

I've been looking at his brackets for my 292 to put AC on it. I'd actually like to mount it on the left side of the engine above the alternator though.

Looking on the Vintage Air bracket page I think the left side mount ac and alternator bracket is exactly what I want. I have a Dakota manual steeing box for my truck and if I want power will go with electric hidden under the dash.
