First Post?
I've been around here a long time (January of 2001) but not since the beginning. I think it would be interesting to see what the first post looked like. How was the board organized, and how was it announced? What were the first questions people asked?
What do you all think? |
Re: First Post?
It was a message board at first. Not organized just a long long list of messages people had left. A few pics of trucks, like six or seven if I remember. I don't remember very good anymore.

Re: First Post?
Me either. Lots of things have changed in the last 18 years. I surely don't remember what the forum looked like back then.
What was your name again? ;) Welcome back Well look at us. Join dates of Jan, Feb and Mar of 2001. |

I can't remember my first post, but then again I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday.

Re: First Post?
I looked for my first one. The first one I found was March of 2001. It was a question about my now long-gone 70 3/4 ton.

Re: First Post?
CG found that one I posted before I knew how to post pictures. I started using the computer in '01. First I saw web addresses in Hemmings Motor News listings and got bold entering the 'puter world pecking those in on the keyboard. First site I joined was The Diesel Page looking for answers on the problematic '95 I had. I ended up posting there for the first time, gained contributor status. I think I went to Vintage Chevy Trucks's website looking at trucks and parts when I saw a link to here and clicked it. Might have been a link on Diesel Page, too. I lurked and finally registered to offer info whle still on dial-up. When I went with high-speed cable in Nov '04... you know the rest.
