Re: Is there a 1 barrel fuel injector for my 292???
I don't think so, but maybe someone here knows better. The Brazilians, who ran the 3rd generation Chevy six (230, 250, 292) into the 90's I think, designed a fuel injection system for it. Ive never seen one. Interesting stuff, though.

.
Fi Tech has a 2 barrel kit for 795, so not cheap at all given you'd probably need to swap intake at a minimum... -klb |

Look at some of the kits for the Jeep 4.2.

Re: Is there a 1 barrel fuel injector for my 292???
A 292 will handle more than a 1 barrell...I used to run a 390 Holley 4b on my 250.....

Re: Is there a 1 barrel fuel injector for my 292???
There were some one barrel tbi's that I have seen on some smaller cars....older cavaliers and such.
For your motor I would use a 305 or 350 tbi....i'm willing to bet that the fuel trims are pretty similar to yours. |
Re: Is there a 1 barrel fuel injector for my 292???
might be a hair out of the price budget but i have heard a lot of good from howell efi over the years . troy is the tbi guy there since 1999 i think he said so he knows tbi chip burning .

After a rebuild, I switched to an Edelbrock 1405, 500 CFM. ''New'' block was also bored thirty-over. The Carter AFB design, with a vacuum secondary is in no way overcarburated. I used the same Offernhauser 4 Bbl intake on each engine, as well as Clifford headers. Very happy with the performance. IMO it's better than the crate 350 in my '71 Jimmy. |
