Looking for exhaust system recommendations preferably stainless

Did and inconclusive search already.
I need an exhaust “kit” for my 396, auto,2wd C20 and was leaning toward the Pypes 2.5” kit. Has anyone used that or a similar set up?
Thanks, Joe

Not exactly but similar. I installed the Pypes 2.5 system on my 72 C10 and I'd say it is a well put together kit. It didn't work for me because I wanted my exhaust to go through the 2 holes in my aftermarket crossmember, since I want my truck quite low. I ended up just buying a builder kit and routed everything exactly where I needed mine to go. Another bonus I saved about 100 bucks. On a stock ride ride height truck the Pypes kit would be perfect.
Good luck
Brian

I used the Pypes SGT79 kit on my 70 and modified it to route through the TA crossmember (I used Chevelle headers). I only paid $335 for it though about 2 years ago. I still have about $465 in it with mufflers but I used stainless band clamps as the kit came with non-stainless saddle clamps. I am using cheap Thrush turbos right now but will ultimately probably go with Dynomax stainless turbos. I already had the cheap turbos and they were only a year old so I reused them. It’s not loud enough for me with full tailpipes so I put electric cutouts on as well. The Pypes kit is good quality my only complaint is the clamps. It does come with stainless hangers.

I bought the kit from speedway.

I used stainless mufflers and stainless band clamps. I think they sell a stainless kit. If they dont, Ebay does.
