This guy took pride in his work...

...and maybe he still does, I don’t know if he’s still alive/working.
I recently bought a 75 K10 shortbed and saw this on the transmission. I like finding stuff like that. I’ve never had a transmission built or rebuilt so I don’t know if it is still the norm to put your name on it. I did buy a Muncie 4 speed a few years ago with a date written in marker, so I get it helps Identify the last time it was worked on. Anyway it reminded me of good, honest work where people take pride in what they do. It says to me that this guy Larry is responsible for how that trans runs after it’s all buttoned up. All you old timers please pass that stuff down to honest people willing to learn. Thanks for listening, Vinnie |

I am guessing that someone rebuilt it on the side and that's how they IDed it for warranty.
