1987 Sierra Classic C15 build

So I have decided to finally begin working in earnest on my 87 c15 .

Currently, it has a mildly built 350 carb, w./ scat crank and mild comp cam.
Runs ok, but it is just a project truck.
So, I am considering replacing the engine w/ either a 427 or 454. Both will be custom built, but that is another topic.

My question is I know the 427 will bolt right up as it is a small block. If I do decide to pull the trigger on the 454, will it bolt up with the existing location of the frame motor mounts? I realize it will require different mounts, but will the location be the same? Will frame mount modifications be required?

Also on the Dart website for the 454 bare block, it description about motor mount says "side and front motor mounts"
So does the 454 use a front motor mount? if so, will the '87 c15 accept this front motor mount?

Thanks for any insight here.
Pending on amount of modifications to frame if any, will help me make my decision between 427 vs 454.

Mike
