Tilt Steering Column

OK, I am having a hard time with the aftermarket tilt column I bought from Brothers Trucks (I think) over a year ago. It's so sloppy at the shifter collar on the column, I'm having a hard time getting the indicator set right. I have the OD shift indicator installed for my 700r4. Is this common? Is there a fix?

Re: Tilt Steering Column

I didn't come up with anything from this forum but there's quite a bit on google...Might look at this, https://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/s...php?tid/51282/ I expect mating a four speed trans to a three speed column would present some issues. The factory service manual has a procedure for adjusting the linkage and the indicator...Good luck ;)
