9 passenger suburban....?
how can this be done? Will the 3 person seat from a late model burb fit in the far back? is there much difference between my '71 burb and a 21st century burb?
I don't have the seats in mine yet, but aren't all the 67-72 three seat suburbans nine passenger? 3 in front (bench) 3 in middle and 3 in the rear. My 50inch blazer back seat sits three, so I was assuming the burb 50 inch seats do too.

I think the best you can do is 8 passanger
the second seat in the three seat sub is only two wide. Mike D. |
Here is a 9 passenger suburban :D
My 2nd and 3rd seats are the same, both 50 inches wide.
The center seat is installed against the left wall. The rear is centered between the wheel wells. They are the same width.Mine has the three benches and is considered a 9 passenger.I wouldn't want to travel very far with 3 adults on the rear seats. The front full size bench can get crowded!
Ive had 9 people all with seat belts on, and everyone was pretty comfy for a good 45 min drive. Middle and rear seats both have 3 seat belts.
Though some of them had a smaller seat....or am I thinking of earlier years.....?
Yeah, but the middle and rear are smaller seats.Three 200 pounders have a tight fit!
Bench seat replaces buckets in the Front (3 ppl), Center Seat Split bench (3 ppl), Rear third seat, fold down bench (3 ppl) = 9
Kinda like the old Station wagons!! |
Hey speesh, do you have any pictures of your 57 suburban you could share?? I love those years! Thanks.
