After I wrote that I was looking at the shot of the two together and it's the angle of the picture. When I look at the box tube vs. the bolt location, I see that it's only slightly taller.

Still love the look of it.

Now this may be a question for abadsvt, but is there any advantage to the welded crossmember vs. a bolted crossmember? I would think you would want the bolted because of natural flex that occurs in the truck while driving.
